A convicted sex offender living in Palm Beach County has been charged for allegedly stalking a 12-year-old girl in Coral Springs.
James Harmison is accused of stopping a girl while in his work truck to ask for directions, according to prosecutors. The girl proceeded to walk home but he continued to follow her.
She entered her home in Coral Springs and he knocked on her door – yelling “I know you are in there, open the door."
Harmison is listed in Florida's sex offender registry for previous sexual offenses.
A judge ordered Harmison to be held on $50,000 bond, despite prosecutors asking for a $250,000 bond order.
