Alabama finished near the top of the SEC when ranking academic rankings among football teams.
The NCAA released its annual report of the Academic Progress Rate this week. With it came a pile of data sortable on its website.
Looking specifically at football teams in the SEC, Alabama's four-year rate of 984 was second only to Vanderbilt's 993. It was just ahead of No. 3 Auburn' 980 followed by Arkansas' 977.
The average score for FBS teams was 968.
Alabama had four teams rank in the top 10 of their respective sports. Those programs were gymnastics, softball, women's golf and men's cross country. All four had perfect 1,000 scores.
Of the 21 programs at Alabama, 15 matched or improved their APR from last year.
The NCAA requires a score of 930 to avoid sanctions.
