Amazon announced on Thursday (May 24) the Echo’s ‘wake word’ technology has been fully integrated into its Amazon Music mobile app — meaning that users can now listen to music, completely hands-free.

The user experience is very similar to that of the Echo, which allows users to switch between songs or playlists with the vocal prompt “Alexa.” Whether users are in the car or on a run, as long as the Amazon Music app is open and in the foreground on their iOS or Android device, they can use play, pause, skip a track, or even create a playlist without lifting a finger.
