Pearl Academy's newly-built Rajouri Garden campus was at its creative best for three days as graduating students of Design, Fashion, Business and Media showcased their masterpieces at Pearl Portfolio, a launch platform which marks their entry into the professional world.
It provides young change makers a unique opportunity to interact with industry experts, entrepreneurs and media.
The campus attracted visitors from Bollywood, politics and creative industry along with enthusiastic parents. Over 1,000 school students and teachers from Delhi-NCR joined in for design immersion workshops on the first day.
Indian politician and former Samta Party president Jaya Jaitly inaugurated the event. Eminent personalities including Anthony Lopez, Lopez Design; Bishwanath Ganguly, country manager, Forever New among others participated in panel discussions and interactive sessions with students. Commenting on the event, actor-director Viveck Vaswani said, "I see students can express themselves unabashedly and without boundaries here, at Pearl Academy. The projects are superbly creative. I see a huge upsurge in the kind of work that is happening here and I am delighted to be a part of this celebration of creative pursuit". He also conducted a workshop on film-making with students.

The two-day event included an exhibition of ingenious projects by students from School of Design.
Kisan Mitr- Gyaan ke saath dosti, an interesting project by a Communication Design student, Piyush Grover, aimed to educate farmers and overcome their challenges such as lack of access to relevant information, technology, training, etc through a theoretical mobile application.
Hasthaakshar- Cruise ship interiors, another project by Aishwarya Malhotra, an Interior Design & Styling student, showcased the growing importance of designing cruise interiors to promote tourism in India through cruise tourism.

Avani Lakhotia, a Communication Design student, focused her work on the Lepcha script, one of the endangered languages in India. Avani recently got placed with a leading global management consulting firm Accenture.

A week back, a similar event was also organised at Pearl Academy's Noida campus. Surbhi Singhal displayed a unique concept of human café; her aim is to design a place that would help people come together and share their stories like travel experiences, survivors, strugglers, writers, poets and people with life changing experiences.
Adding to it was a project by Sukham Sond, that reflected the revival of Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, with a world-class aquarium on the backdrop.
Vidhushi, a student of Interior Architecture design (IAD) created a homogeneous space, including an interesting mix of recreational activities undertaken in a smog-free environment.
To cater to the needs to the elite segment of the society, Krishna Verma displayed jewellery boutique designed to give a luxurious and exquisite treatment for people who like to indulge in the opulent pieces of jewels and watches.
Similarly, through '#Redefine', a deaf awareness campaign by Akangksha Sarmah, a Communication Design student, she made active efforts to address and gain an understanding of the deaf culture.

This year UG and PG students of Luxury Brand Management courses, presented their dissertation projects at #LuxuryPortfolio at DLF Emporio, Vasant Kunj. From introducing 'vegan' as a luxury material to reviving traditional Chanderi weaves, our students had some of the most innovative and sustainable business ideas. Kalyani Saha Chawla, entrepreneur, founder, Koi Communications, founder & CEO, Rezon Luxury Silverware was our chief jury member. "Every year I look forward to hiring interns and graduates from Pearl Academy Luxury Business courses, as they prove to be the most hard-working, innovative and dedicated resources for my organisation and me," Chawla said.
