PESA

Polish train producer Pesa has signed a preliminary investment agreement with state fund PFR, under which the fund will provide financing of about 300 million zlotys ($81.7 million) to the train maker, Puls Biznesu reported.

EU FUNDS

The European Commission is considering cutting development aid to Poland in the next EU long-term budget for 2017-2021 to 23 percent, down 11 percent from the 2014-2020 budget, Gazeta Wyborcza reported, citing sources.

VAT

Finance Minister Teresa Czerwinska plans to simplify value added tax (VAT) regulation to make it easier for companies to pay the tax, she told Polska The Times.

KGHM

Copper producer KGHM has launched a second process to select its new chief executive, Puls Biznesu reported, having abandoned a previous unsuccessful recruitment process.
