Jana Sena Party founder K. Pawan Kalyan on Monday called upon people to question their public representatives if they failed to resolve pending problems. He said this would act as a deterrent and make the representatives discharge their duties in a responsible manner.
Addressing a public gathering at Palakonda as part his Porata Yatra, Mr. Pawan alleged that MLAs and MPs and MLAs failed to meet the aspirations of the people and it was time people questioned them on development of their constituencies.
‘Party building is aim’
He claimed that he could have been Union Minister immediately after 2014 elections had he been interested to enjoy power. “With a strong willpower, I came into politics. My main aim is to build the party from the grass root level. That is why, I have not aspired for power although I campaigned in favour of TDP and BJP in 2014,” Mr. Pawan said.
Earlier, he struggled a lot to reach the dais with the gathering of crowd at the venue. Mr. Pawan is expected to finish his tour in Srikakulam district on Tuesday and continue his political journey in Vizianagaram district from Wednesday.
JSP leaders expressed happiness over the positive response for his tour in Srikakulam. He came to Itchapuram on May 20 and covered all 11 Assembly segments.
