Madhubani paintings now adorn the drab walls of Patna Junction. It is for the very first time that the state’s signature art has been given such an exposure in the city. The beautification process of the
Patna Junction started nearly a month ago and now it is almost complete. To undertake the task, many artists from Madhubani have been invited to the city. The beautiful paintings on the walls of platform number 1 and 10 are already grabbing eyeballs.
Many youngsters visit Patna Junction just to see the paintings. ‘After I heard that the walls of the junction are being painted, I decided to pay a visit. Art needs to be admired,’ said
Rajni Ranjan, a student. People visit on platform number 1 to witness the artworks depicting different folklores. ‘The colours and the visuals are very appealing,’ said Manisha, a student who came back to the city for summer holidays.’
The life of Lord
Krishna has been illustrated on platform number 10. The different stages of his life, from his birth to his adulthood have been depicted beautifully through different paintings.
