7 killed in RTC bus-lorry collision in Karimnagar

HYDERABAD: At least seven people were killed and 15 injured in an RTC bus-lorry collision at Chanjarla in Manakondur mandal in Karimnagar of Telangana on Tuesday afternoon.
A commerce lecturer was among those killed in the mishap. The victim G Hariprasad was going to Karimnagar for spot valuation in examinations.
Finance minister Eatala Rajendar has rushed to the spot to supervise relief and rescue measures and ensue that the injured get immediate medical treatment.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed deep shock over the incident. He conveyed his condolences to the families of those who died in the accident. CM also directed the officials concerned to provide the required medical care to the injured.
Three contract lecturers were also said to have been injured in the mishap.
Deputy chief minister Kadiam Srihari said the government would announce ex-gratia to the families of those killed and to those injured in the accident. Transport minisiter Mahendar Reddy said the accident took place after a lorry hit the RTC bus.
