HYDERABAD: Three armed extremists, who allegedly indulged in extortion, were arrested in Telangana's Khammam district, police said.
Prime accused Boda Bheemudu alias Sudhakar, maintaining a Dalam (unit) under the name of 'Sudhakar Dalam CPI(ML) New Democracy Party' and operating in Gundala and Allapally of the district, was arrested along with two members of his group, Khammam police commissioner Tafseer Iqbal told .

Since the last seven years, Sudhakar and his Dalam members had allegedly been extorting money from businessmen, contractors and also threatening government officials,he said.
Besides, Sudhakar allegedly indulged in exchange of fire, murder and rioting, the commissioner said. A police team, conducting a vehicle-check at Jujjularaopet, nabbed Sudhakar, T Hanumantharao and K Suresh while they were going to Gundala forest area, he said.
B Macchu, who provided shelter to them, even though he knew that they were offenders, was also arrested, he said.
A .32 mm revolver, two live rounds and a diary and a few papers relating to businessmen and contractors, contact numbers, details of extorted amount and revolutionary literature were seized from Sudhakar, he added.
