Chevrolet is recalling hundreds of its Corvette ZR1 due to a risk that the air bags may not deploy, according to Cars.com.

About 490 ZR1s are being recalled, according to Cars.com.

According to the website, hard braking or acceleration could cause the diagnostic module in the vehicle to enter what is called a fault state. If that happens, the module won't provide crash-sensing or deploy the airbags in the event of a crash.

Those with the affected vehicles can call the automaker at 800-222-1020 or check their VIN on the National Highway Safety Traffic Administration website. Dealers will reprogram the sensing diagnostic module for free.

The ZR1 features a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with a top track speed of 212 mph. It has an available 755 horsepower and 715-foot-pounds of torque. The base price starts at more than $120,000.
