Broncos sign first-rounder Chubb to rookie deal

First-round pick Bradley Chubb signed a four-year deal with the Denver Broncos on Thursday.

Chubb's contract is expected to be worth $27.5 million, including an $18.1 million signing bonus, based on the NFL rookie contract slotting system.

Chubb's agent revealed the signing via Twitter, later confirmed by the Broncos.

Chubb had 25 career sacks at North Carolina State and was considered the top defensive player in the 2018 draft. The Broncos selected Chubb with the fifth overall pick, and the rookie impressed during minicamp, when Shane Ray was sidelined with a wrist injury.

The contract includes a standard fifth-year team option.
