MADHEPURA: Madhepura police on Thursday arrested four youths near Belo-Chamgadh village under Murliganj PS in the district and recovered fake Indian currency notes (FICN), mobile phones, debit cards and a four- wheeler from their possessions. The arrested youths were identified as Awadhesh Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar , Sanjay Singh and Raushan Singh. Madhepura SP Babu Ram said, “Police during routine patrolling arrested one Awadhesh Kumar and found some fake notes from his possession.
It was during interrogation that Awadhesh disclosed that three of his accomplices were on way to Murliganj in a four-wheeler from Behariganj. The area was cordoned off and soon all the persons travelling in the vehicle were nabbed. Altogether, 18 new notes of Rs100 denomination, three of Rs 100 and 887 of Rs 50 denomination were found.
