Watch highlights and follow live updates from the game below beginning at game time.

GOAL! Thorns! Tobin Heath puts one in the back of the net in the 9th minute to put the Thorns on top early!

GOAL! Houston. Sofia Huerta cleans up a loose ball in the box and puts it past a Thorns defender for the goal in the 12th minute. Franch made a mistake there in her first game back in action for the Thorns following an injury absence by diving a little early to try and stop the shot, which gave Huerta the easy chance.

GOAL! Thorns! 33rd minute Ana Crnogorcevic heads a ball over the keeper after some sloppy Houston defense for the score.

GOAL! Thorns! In her 100th career NWSL match, Christine Sinclair lofts a ball over the keeper for a goal from the top of the box in the 83rd minute.

PREGAME:

The Thorns are coming off a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Red Stars last week, while the Dash last played on June 3 when they drew the North Carolina Courage 1-1. At the midway point of the NWSL season, Portland sits in fifth place in the standings, just outside the playoff picture.

Thorns star midfielder Lindsey Horan will be suspended for Friday's game due to yellow card accumulation after picking up a yellow card against the Red Stars last week. Horan, who has five goals this season, has been one of Portland's best players this year.
