Dalita Tejam meet in Nellore on June 30

The TDP is all set to conduct Dalita Tejam, a Dalit outreach programme of the party in Nellore on June 30 on a grand note. 

VIJAYAWADA:  The TDP is all set to conduct Dalita Tejam, a Dalit outreach programme of the party in Nellore on June 30 on a grand note. During the meeting, the TDP leaders will highlight the welfare schemes being extended by the government for SCs and STs for the last four years.Holding a teleconference with the Ministers and leaders on Saturday, Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the a rrangements to be made for the successful conduct of the programme.
Asserting that the TDP is committed to the welfare of SCs and STs, he said the government spent `40,000 crore for their uplift in the last four years.

Naidu said that the State government asked the Centre not to dilute SC, ST Atrocities Act and added that the TDP is prepared to file an implead petition in the Supreme Court.He said the TDP leaders called on President Ram Nath Kovind appealing him to take initiatives for preventing the dilution of SC, ST Atrocities Act and wanted the leaders to explain the commitment of the TDP towards Dalits. He wanted at least 10 Dalits from each village to participate in Dalita Tejam.Ministers Nakka Anand Babu and KS Jawahar and other leaders participaed in the teleconference.
