A day after meeting Amit Shah, 4 Purulia families join TMC
The four families from Purulia joined TMC in presence of party leaders.
KOLKATA: Four families of Purulia, whom BJP president Amit Shah had visited on Thursday, joined the Trinamool Congress on Friday.
TMC leaders paraded these Purulia residents in front of media on Friday and claimed they have joined the party.
These families from Purulia claimed they were threatened by the BJP and that is why they went to Kalighat to seek refuge in Trinamool.

Madan Mitra, former minister in Mamata Banerjee's cabinet, addressed the press conference and said that families from Purulia have joined the TMC.
Phuchu Rajbhor, a Purulia resident, said that he wanted to join Trinamool Congress. Rajbhor said that they were not in politics, but as Shah visited their house so they came to Kalighat to join Trinamool.
Rahul Sinha, former BJP state president, said that the Purulia families were abducted and were forced to join Trinamool, but this will not change the mindset of the people of Bengal and they will protest.
