Though they were visibly elated to find the Collector amidst them, their surprise turned into awe, when Shaha began imparting Geography lessons to them. Shaha taught them national geography and India’s geographical boundaries with neighbouring countries as the students listened to him with rapt attention. Shaha was as much engrossed in teaching as the students were intent on learning. The class continued for about half-an-hour. Besides provided tips to the students on how to excel in the subject, Shaha asked them questions on the lesson.

Mamata Dash, one of the teachers of the high school, was full of praise for the Collector. She said his visit was highly motivating for the teachers and encouraging for the students. On his part, the Collector said he was satisfied with the teaching and extra-curricular activities of the teachers. He exhorted them to maintain the standard of education in the school. “The classroom teaching done by me formed the part of ‘Mo School Abhiyan’ launched by the State Government. Under the novel scheme, we have called upon the academicians to voluntarily teach the students. The students can get important tips from them which would come handy for them in examination,” Shaha said.
