Ms. Kazmarek has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the fields of education and music

BALTIMORE, MD, July 16, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Linda Adams Kazmarek with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Kazmarek celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A longtime music educator, Ms. Kazmarek taught vocal music in the Baltimore City Schools from 1967 to 2014. While attending to these responsibilities, she was also involved with two local churches serving as an organist and choir director at the Olive Branch United Methodist Church for many years, beginning in 1973. She has held the same appointments with the Halethorpe Methodist Church and Halethorpe-Relay United Methodist Church for many years as well. Furthermore, Ms. Kazmarek taught piano to children for both the Baltimore Community Schools and the Modal Cities Program in Baltimore.

Ms. Kazmarek has her very own studio with digital and acoustic material. Performing her works as a concert artist and performer within the community for close to 20 years, some of her performances have included the S.W.E.S. 18th Year Celebration, the Baltimore City Teachers Appreciation Banquet, the Halethorpe Methodist Church, the Baltimore Southwest Emergency Service and the Methodist Board Child Care. When she performs, she does so from memory. Notably, Ms. Kazmarek's Christian music recordings include original pieces as well as some arrangements.

Over the past three decades, Ms. Kazmarek has composed and arranged dozens of works, more recently including "Inspired" in 2013, "I Saw Three Ships, In His Holy Presence" in 2006, "Song Without Words" in 2006, "The Solid Rock" in 2006 and "It is Well with My Soul" in 2006. Her efforts have won her an Award for 30 Years of Service in Music and Music Education form the Maryland Music Educators Association, an Award for Voluntarism from the Fund for Educational Excellence and a Volunteer Award for Music Enrichment Summer Program. Ms. Kazmarek also received a Grant from the Fund for Educational Excellence.

Ms. Kazmarek is a longstanding member of the National Education Association, the Maryland State Teachers Association, the Baltimore City Teachers Association, the Gospel Music Association, the Maryland State Music Teachers Association, among others. She is certified as an advanced professional teacher for K-12 in Maryland and is a national certified teacher of the Mayron Cole Piano Method.

Playing the piano since the age of five, Ms. Kazmarek wanted to learn because her two brothers played, and her mother sang in the church choir. As she became good, she began playing all over town and by the age of six was playing at her church. Shortly thereafter, she began conducting the church choir. Ms. Kazmarek later began studying the pipe organ at the age of 15 and within just a few months was playing for the evening worship service at the church.

Inspired to attend the Peabody Conservatory of Music after high school, Ms. Kazmarek practiced for four to six hours per day and studied hard to maintain her grade point average. Upon acceptance, she earned a BA in Music Education at Peabody Conservatory of Music in 1967, followed by postgraduate work at Morgan University and Towson University. Happily married, Ms. Kazmarek has been cited in many editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who in Religion.
