A Navy veteran has made it his mission to honor fallen military service members by playing taps on his bugle at their funerals.
After attending a funeral service for a fallen soldier where the batteries on a device playing taps died, Jim "Toot" Timmons decided to make it his mission to never let that happen again to another family.
Timmons has been a bugler since he was in fifth grade, and has been playing taps for fallen service members for more than 15 years. He was able to find a World War II military regulation bugle, which he uses to play the song.
