A man was detained by officers after a police chase in south Liverpool.
Merseyside Police said a car came to the attention of police in the Dam Wood Road area of Speke at around 1.20pm today (Thursday).
After a brief pursuit by officers, two men made off from the vehicle on foot in Eastern Avenue.
One male was later detained by officers.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm a male has been detained following a pursuit in Speke this afternoon.
"At around 1.20pm, a silver VW Golf came to the attention of police in the Dam Wood Road area.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
