PORTLAND, Ore. – The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team arrested a man Tuesday in connection to a North Portland shooting that occurred in June.

According to police, officers arrested 45-year-old Alexander J. Walton near East Cascade Avenue and North Fir Street in Sisters on a warrant for attempted murder.

The warrant was a result of an investigation into a June 1 shooting outside of Darcy’s Bar on North Lombard Street in Portland.

When officers arrived at the bar the evening of June 1, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and eventually released.

During the investigation, detectives learned Walton was connected to the shooting.

Walton was booked into the Deschutes County Jail on the warrant for attempted murder. He will be transported to the Multnomah County Jail.

Anyone who witnessed, possesses video surveillance footage of, or knowledge of Walton's connection to the shooting should call Detective Bryan Declercque at 503-823-2056 or Bryan.Declercque@portlandoregon.gov.
