Mancherial cement plant to expand

HYDERABAD: An investment of Rs 2,000 crore will be made by Orient Cement Company (OCC) to expand the cement plant at Devapur in Macherial. This is expected to provide jobs to 4,000 people directly and another 8,000 indirectly.
OCC MD and CEO Ketrapal on Saturday met industries minister KT Rama Rao and explained about the plans for expansion.
He said that the policies of the Telangana government were attractive and therefore, they decided to expand the plant.

For the first phase, permissions from the Centre for environmental clearance and other forest clearances would be given soon.
