Proposed National Highway to reduce Hyderabad-Mantralayam distance

HYDERABAD: A 65-km-long new national highway will be built between Kothakota and Naguladinne villages in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district, which will reduce the distance from Hyderabad to pilgrimage centre Mantralayam by 60 km. The roads and buildings department has prepared the detailed project report (DPR) and tenders will be called soon.

According to sources, a bridge on Krishna river will come up as part a Rs 500-crore new national highway project. “The bridge will be built around 7 km down the Jurala irrigation project,” officials said.
