Vadodara's ENT surgeon invited at medical college in Vietnam

VADODARA: Dr Ankit Singhania, ENT surgeon, practising in Vadodara was recently invited as international guest faculty at Can Tho Medical College and Hospital in Can Tho City at Vietnam for giving lectures and advance training in endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) to the ENT surgeons and post graduate students there.

VADODARA: Dr Ankit Singhania, ENT surgeon, practising in Vadodara was recently invited as international guest faculty at Can Tho Medical College and Hospital in Can Tho City at Vietnam for giving lectures and advance training in endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) to the ENT surgeons and post graduate students there.
Can Tho University (CTU) is an important state higher education institution in the Mekong Delta.
It is the cultural, scientific and technical centre of the Mekong Delta and Vietnam, since its founding in 1966.
Currently, it has nearly 100 undergraduates, 36 master and 15 doctoral training programs. Every year, CTU receives students on internship programs from the United States, Belgium and Japan among others.
Sinusitis and other sinus related problems are very common in all countries. ESS is the advanced minimal access approach to the surgical treatment of this condition.
Professor Singhania has been trained for ESS in Australia under world-renowned professor Wormald for advance endoscopic sinus surgery.
During his visit to Vietnam, he taught advances in endoscopic sinus surgery to the surgeons in Mekong Delta, Vietnam. He also took lectures, demonstration for the post graduate students of CTU regarding advances in ENT.
Singhania discussed a proposal from CTU to start an international training and skill development program under him in Vadodara at his hospital. In this programme, ENT surgeons and post graduate students from Vietnam will come for the advance training in ENT in Vadodara.
