Kerala Floods: Army restores washed away concrete bridge in Idukki

The Army has restored a concrete bridge in Idukki district of Kerala. The bridge connects the Virinjapara village in Idukki’s Mankulam. Due to the heavy rains bridge was washed away two days ago. About 800 families live in this village. According to Indian Army, rescue operations are still going on. Bad weather, poor connectivity and communication hampering the rescue work. More than 1000 people, including elderly women and children have been rescued from various locations to safer places. Heavy rains have created a flood like situation in Kerala. It has claimed 37 lives till now.
