A Wishaw football team have passed over a big cheque to Chris’s House.

Wishaw Wycombe Wanderers fundraised at their recent Sportsman’s Dinner.

And it was down to youngster Logan Monaghan, from the 2009 team, to hand over a cheque for £1,000 to Chris’s House Lead Operations Manager Anne Rowan.

“Chris’s House is a centre for help, response and intervention surrounding suicide,” Club President Alex Richardson said.

“We took the decision to support the fantastic work that the charity does following the recent sad events in the local area.

“Members of the Club Executive Committee, coaching staff and players were all in attendance.

“Anne Rowan and her volunteers were on hand to show us around the facility and to give us some background to the work they do - it was both informative and humbling.”
