An apartment complex designated for military veterans and their families is helping those who fought for freedom.Bastion Apartments, located in New Orleans, is a living community dedicated to giving returning military service members homes and helping them adjust to civilian life.Veterans who have suffered physical and mental trauma can rely on other members of the community for help, as those who live in the community are required to help each other in some way for at least six hours per week.The goal of Bastion Apartments is to bring veterans together so they can share their experiences as well as the experience of assimilating back into civilian society.Watch the video above to learn more about this neighborhood just for veterans.
