Hold your horses

Sussex

What better occasion for Sabrina Percy and Martha Ward to horse about at Cowdray House than the Fitzdares’ Racing Futures Dinner? The super bookie announced its 35 under-35 riders and squires with a champagne dinner preceded by a bucking bronco competition, at which Patrick Grant rode the bull even better than the jockeys. A dark horse indeed.

Into the Wild

Cornbury

Champagne in an Oxfordshire field, darling? It could only be the Veuve Clicquot tent at Wilderness Festival, where must-have accessories included a) a plastic cup full of iced fizz; b) a ‘Choose Love’ Help Refugees T-shirt, rocked by Jeremy Irvine; and c) Olivia Colman’s very groovy glitter face paint.
