ARA/PATNA: A woman was paraded naked and shops and trains were attacked at Bihiya in Bhojpur district on Monday evening.
All this followed after a 16-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a red light area near railway tracks at Bihiya. The boy was identified as Bimlesh Kumar alias Chhotu, son of Ganesh Shah of Damodarpur village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district.

Sources said Bimlesh had gone to Bihiya to seek admission in Class XI. They added that injury marks were found on the genitals. They said Bimlesh’s sister Shobha (13) died of shock on hearing about his death.
Bhojpur SP Avkash Kumar was camping at Bihiya police station, 20km west of Ara, till late in the evening. He reportedly suspended Bihiya police station SHO Kunwar Prasad Gupta.
A police officer at Bihiya police station told this newspaper over phone that the body was found near the house of the woman who was paraded naked by the angry locals. They took to the street in protest against Bimlesh’s death. The woman was being interrogated at the police station, he said. The locals suspected her involvement in Bimlesh’s death.

The angry mob also set ablaze more than half a dozen shops and kiosks and threw stones at the trains passing through Bihiya.

Leader of the opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav criticized the state government over the incident. “Honourable CM, what is happening in Bihar? A woman was made to walk naked on the streets. Where is Sushil Modi hiding? You have turned Bihar into Mahajungleraj and Rakshahraj,” Tejashwi tweeted.
