He was talking to media after flagging off the lorries carrying the relief materials to Kodagu, collected by BJP Bangalore unit.
“For the last three days the the party has been collecting relief items from people. It is the duty of all of us and citizens to come to the rescue of the people who are in such a distress,” the minister said.
He said the damage caused by rain fury in Kodagu has already been discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and home minister Rajnath Singh, he said.
Kumar said quality medicines including medicines for blood pressure, heart ailments, diabetes and Malaria will be sent to Kodagu and Kerala.
