Suzi Tasker is currently teaching the Restart nutritional therapy program to a group at Noble Hunt in Dayton.

DAYTON-Sometimes you have to leave home before you appreciate it. Suzi and Duane Tasker and their 11-year-old son, Noa, did just that, and are now happy to be back in Dayton.

The Taskers called Redding Calif. home for ten months, but realized quickly that Redding was not going to be their forever home.

After 10 months of "healthy perspective," and a visit to Dayton this spring to ready their home for sale, the couple realized how much they missed living here.

"When we came home, we recognized a true, deep sense of community in Dayton. We made a choice to stay, based on quality of life," Suzi Tasker said.

Before moving to Redding, Tasker operated New Thought Nutrition and the Restart nutritional therapy program in Dayton. In September she will open Wenaha Wellness at the Main Street Salon, at 408 East Main Street.

Tasker, who is a cosmetologist as well as a nutritionist, said she will cut and color hair, provide facials and aromatherapy, and she will provide anyone interested in the Restart program with a 20 minute free consultation.

"I am going to incorporate all my passions," she said.

Tasker said many people suffer from "food confusion," and the Restart program offers a simple alternative to the overflow of information about diets.

The five-week Restart class meets once a month for 1 ½ hours, and people learn about whole food in a supportive fashion, with a three-week sugar detox built in. "It's set up for success," she said.

The cost of the Restart Program is $195 per person, and all materials are included. Tasker is accepting 10 people per class and is reaching out to individuals and to companies and their employees who would like to take the class.

Anyone interested in a cut, color, facial, or free nutritional consultation, can book online at wenahawellness.10to8.com. Or contact Tasker by email at wenahawellness@gmail.com with questions about the Restart program. Information about the Restart program is also available at therestartprogram.com.
