Expelled class X student shoots principal in UP’s Bijnor district

A class X student of a private school in UP's Bijnor district shot at his principal using a country-made pistol after the latter expelled him for violent behaviour. The principal received bullet injuries on his shoulder and collapsed. A case has been registered against the student, who is at large.

BIJNOR: A class X student of a private inter college allegedly shot at his school principal with a country-made weapon on Wednesday after he was expelled from the school due to his violent behaviour with other students. The principal received bullet injuries on his left shoulder, and was admitted to a district hospital for treatment. A case has been registered against the accused but he is at large.
According to police, the student, 17, of Narawali village under Syohara police station area - took admission in Shri Sai Inter College of Rooppur 15 days ago.
Earlier, he was a student of Priyanka school. He is a notorious student and often quarrels with other students. He appeared for the class X board examination last year, which he failed to clear.
After he was rusticated by the Priyanka school management, he took admission in Shri Sai Inter College. Soon after joining, Deepanshu got involved in a brawl with his classmates and thrashed a student on August 25. On learning about the episode, the principal Sanjeev Kumar consulted the college management and expelled the boy from the school.
On Wednesday around 11am, the boy, along with his mother, reached the institute to speak to the principal over the incident. The principal, however, refused to change his mind and denied taking him back because of his violent behaviour. He returned home and after dropping his mother, went back to his institute with a country-made pistol and shot at the Kumar. The principal received bullet injuries on his shoulder and collapsed. The accused fled from the spot with the weapon and is still at large.
School staff informed the cops about the incident, who took the principal to the district hospital. His condition is stated to be stable now.
There was panic among students and school staff after the incident.
According to the principal, “He has violent behaviour. He had thrashed some students after we had taken his admission here. I had warned him several times but my warning and advice had no fallen on his deaf ear. He was not agree to change his behaviour. And he was spoiling peaceful and disciplined atmosphere of the school. After consulting with management, I had expelled him and informed his family members. He had come with his mother on Wednesday. But we refused his mother not to change my decision. This enraged him. He left school around 11:15am and again returned alone and aimed gun at me and opened fire. Fortunately, I dodged and escaped. However, I received bullet injuries on my shoulder.”

Kumar further stated, “I have filed a complaint against the boy for attempting to kill me.”
Giving more details, Syohara station house officer, Arihant Kumar Sidharth, said, “Police have registered a case against the accused under section 307 of IPC and he is at large. He will be arrested soon. The student was expelled from the school after which he shot at principal. The mother of accused is a govt teacher by profession.”
