KARACHI: In separate notices addressed to the exchange, Amreli Steel Limited (ASTL) and Millat Tractors Limited (MTL) on Wednesday announced financial results for the period ending June 2018.

ASTL’s annual profits jumped 47.59 per cent to Rs 1.58 billion from same period last year. The company reported earnings per share at Rs 5.34 per share. The company’s profits rose on the back of 206.39pc increase in other income.

MTL, on the other hand reported profit after taxation of Rs 5.96bn on the back of 19pc increase in gross profit. The company reported earnings per share at Rs 134.64 per share following a 19pc increase in gross profits and 58.6pc increase in other income.
