Youth killed in Nalanda village over ‘love affair’

BIHARSHARIF: One Anil Gope alias Phekan Yadav was murdered in Atbal Chak village under the Tharthari police station area of Nalanda district late on Monday evening.
Meethu Gope, father of the deceased youth, has lodged an FIR in which he has named co-villager Bindeshwar Yadav and his three sons — Rajeev Prasad, Rajesh Kumar, Dharampal Kumar, Rajesh's wife Indu Devi and Bindeshwar Yadav's daughter Rabdi Kumari as the accused.

Tharthari police station SHO said the crime prima facie appeared to be linked to a love affair.
According to Hilsa SDPO Mutaffiq Ahmad, Bindeshwar’s daughter-in-law Indu Devi and daughter Rabdi Kumari have been arrested. Raids are on to arrest the other accused, he said.
This was the fifth case of murder in the last 10 days in Nalanda district. One Vishwamitra, a resident of Pendi village under the Sarmera police station area, allegedly shot dead his cousin Prakash on September 6. Prakash’s brother Ranjeet Kumar and one Pramod Kumar were injured. Police arrested the accused.
The same day one Ramchandra Manjhi was allegedly hacked to death by criminals. Police attributed the killing to a property dispute.
A day before on September 5, criminals shot dead an elderly person Gopi Yadav in Telia Khanda village under the Deepnagar police station area when he was asleep. On September 2, unidentified criminals shot dead one Janardan Yadav in the same village.
