NEW DELHI: A
scrap dealer was
beaten to death with
iron rods by a group of men outside his shop in
Narela on Friday night. Though the reason behind the assault is yet to be ascertained, the victim’s family members alleged that robbery was the motive behind the assault. Police said that his shop was found ransacked.
DCP (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta said that a probe has been initiated. Inderpal was found lying in a pool of blood, with the iron rods stained with blood lying beside him outside his shop, by some other shopkeepers who informed police.
Preliminary probe suggested that the criminals took the rods from the shop itself.
