A serious crash involving an ambulance and a taxi has left two children and three adults seriously injured in hospital, one of them in a critical condition.

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating and appealing for witnesses following the collision which took place at the junction of Upper Nash and the A477, between Milton and Pembroke Dock at around 12.25am today (September 16).

The driver of the silver Skoda Octavia taxi is in hospital in a critical condition. Four passengers, including two adults and two teenage children are in hospital with serious injuries.

The Welsh Ambulance Service first responder was on its way to an emergency. Both cars were travelling east, towards Milton, from the direction of Pembroke Dock.

The ambulance did not have any patients on board, and the driver suffered slight injuries.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit is investigating and appealing for witnesses.

"Anyone with information, or who was travelling that stretch of road at the time, is asked to contact police by calling 101. Reference: DP-20180916-007

"No arrests have been made."
