Three commercial real estate brokers in the Puget Sound region have left JLL to join new companies.
Daniel Seger now is a senior managing director in the Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) Seattle office. Seger, who specializes in leasing and sales of institutional office, flex, and life science real estate throughout the region, has worked in real estate for 15 years and completed more than 500 transactions.
Brothers JJ and Riley Shephard joined CBRE. The former is a senior vice president in the company's Seattle office while the latter joined the Bellevue office as first vice president.
During the 17 years he has been in the industry, JJ Shephard has worked on more than 800 leasing transactions totaling more than 5 million square feet.
Riley Shephard returns to CBRE. He also specializes in representing institutional owners of office properties. He started his real estate career in 2005.
With more than 300 brokers, CBRE ranked No. 1 on the most recent Business Journal's Largest Commercial Real Estate Brokerages List.
NKF opened in the region two years ago and has grown to 31 people across two offices in Bellevue and Seattle. The company has recruited top talent from rivals, and Executive Managing Director Tim O'Keefe on Tuesday said more personnel announcements are coming.
JLL entered the Seattle market in 2011 by acquiring boutique firm Pacific Real Estate Partners. The buyout came with deferred benefits to discourage former PREP associates from leaving.
"All our golden handcuffs are up," broker Stewart Williams said last month when he announced he left JLL.
