Myanmar army delegation visits Armoured Corps Center at Ahmednagar near Pune
PUNE: A 13-member delegation of Myanmar Army visited the Indian Army's Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) at Ahmednagar about 120 km from here recently.
The delegation was led by Vice Senior General Soe Win, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Myanmar Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army).
Major General Neeraj Kapur, the ACC&S received the delegation and briefed them about the institution’s training methodology and training facilities.

“Vice Senior General Soe Win expressed his immense satisfaction at the recently conducted training for the Myanmar Army personnel at ACC&S. The delegation was highly impressed by the systematic and graduated conduct of training across training models; simulators varied training aggregates by an exceptionally professional faculty with special emphasis on practical and outdoor training,” stated a press release issued by the Army Southern Command.
The ACC&S was established in 1948 and is spread over 36000 acres. The elite training establishment trains Officers, JCOs and Other Ranks, not only of Indian Army, but also of a number of friendly foreign countries annually.
The Centre is endowed with all possible training infrastructure required for making of a soldier, which involves converting a raw recruit into a fully trained soldier and thereafter honing and sharpening their technical and tactical skills by imparting advanced training.
