He also said, “The project, which will start production in 36 months, will help cut import of natural gas and fertiliser and make India self-reliant,” adding,Ā “Our aim is to take India to new heights of growth. Addressing a public rally in Chhattisgarh, Modi said the only objective of the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Chhattisgarh was the welfare of the poor and the common people. In a veiled attack at former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, regarding his remark of only 15 paise of a Rupee reaching the poor, PM Modi said that today 100 per cent reaches from state government to the Centre.

PM Modi inaugurated two projects of National Highway Authority of India in Chhattisgarh. These are four-lane roads between Bilaspur-Pathrapali and another between Sargaon-Bilaspur.

Commenting on the speedy progress of the Jharsuguda-Barpalli-Sardega railway line, PM Modi says, "The work on this railway line began in the year 2006, however till Congress government was in power, only 30 per cent of the work was completed. Since BJP came into power, the work progressed by more than 70 per cent in just four years and today this route has been opened up for the people of Odisha."
PM Modi said, "Our government is working for increasing the connectivity in Odisha in many ways including Railways, highways, airways, waterways etc. Today the Jharsuguda-Barpalli-Sardega railway line has commenced. Years after Independence, this is the first rail link in the tribal area of Odisha which will link Sundargarh internally with the rest of the country."
PM Modi says, "I am blessed I got the opportunity to inaugurate the Jharsuguda airport today. When more aeroplane will land and take off, more people will come and go, then the financial process will get benefitted in a great way."

PM Modi said, "This airport in Jharsuguda is well located to serve the needs of the people of Odisha. This is going to be the second airport in the state. While being happy this airport is opening, we also need to wonder why it took so many years for a second airport in Odisha."
After inaugurating the Jharsuguda airport, PM Modi said, 'After programmes in Talcher I am glad I am here in Jharsuguda to inaugurate an airport and other development projects. These development works will greatly benefit the people of Odisha. India's aviation sector is being transformed rapidly. This augurs well for 125 crore Indians."
On Triple Talaq, PM Modi said, "Three days ago, the central govt took a decision that was needed for decades. The decision was on Triple Talaq. No one was ready to even talk about it due to the fear of losing votes. Now, it has been declared illegal: PM Narendra Modi at a public rally in Talcher."
PM Modi says, "People from Backward classes were asking for giving constitutional status to the OBC commission, for years. Our government fulfilled the demand of these people. Now, the OBC commission posses an equal amount of rights and responsibilities."
PM Modi says, "Around Rs 570 crore has been provided to open medical colleges in Balasore, Bolangir, Koraput, Puri and Rourkela. Also, work is underway for super speciality hospitals in Talcher and Sundergarh. Rs 360 crore have been given for the technological advancement of current medical colleges in Cuttack, Burla and Bahrampur."
PM Modi says, "Centre is trying to develop the health benefits here so that people don't need to go to big cities for treatment. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, there is a plan to open wellness centre in village panchayats of the state. Apart from this, Odisha is going to get five new medical colleges soon."
I will urge Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to take the Ayushman Bharat scheme to lakhs of poor families of Odisha. After enrolling in this scheme, people can be treated anywhere in the country, which will be a big benefit for them.
PM Modi says, "Based on Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana will be flagged off tomorrow. Under this scheme, 10 crores of poor families of our country will be given a health insurance of Rs 5 lakh."
Talking about the cleanliness drive, PM Modi said, "In 2014, only around 10 per cent of Villages were clean, but now it has reached 55 per cent. I believe that in coming months, You will reach the destination of full cleanliness by bringing momentum to this campaign."
PM Modi says, "Odisha is the place, where once one of our prime ministers had said that only 15 paise of the Rupee reaches poor people here. Now, our government is ensuring that total Rs 1 reaches your bank account directly."

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik receives PM Narendra Modi in Talcher. PM Modi will attend an event to mark the commencement of work in the Talcher Fertilizer Plant and address a public meeting.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of State for Steel Vishnu Deo Sai will be present on the occasion. The chief minister extended his gratitude to the prime minister for the visit and said it was his sixth visit to the state in four years, a measure of the priority he gave to the development of the state.
PM Modi will arrive in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district at 3.20 pm where he will visit an exhibition on traditional handloom and agriculture. He will lay the foundation stone for national highway projects and the Pendra-Anuppur third railway line. The prime minister will also address a Kisan Sammelan between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
Inauguration of Jharsuguda airport will bring western Odisha on the aviation map of India, and facilitate regional air connectivity through the UDAN scheme. PM Modi will dedicate the Garjanbahal coal mines, and the Jharsuguda-Barapali-Sardega rail link to the nation. He will also unveil a plaque to mark the commencement of coal production and transportation from Dulanga coal mines.
Talchar fertilizer plant is the first plant in India to have a coal gasification-based fertilizer unit. In addition to fertilizer, the plant will produce natural gas, which will contribute to the country's energy requirements, the statement said.
