BHOPAL: Verbal slugfest between Congress and BJP shows no signs of ebbing. A day after Rahul Gandhi took a potshot at chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Chitrakoot rally by describing as yojana machine, the chief minister riposted thanking him for that. He said Rahul talked of ‘Made in Chitrakoot’ mobiles, but could not make even a charger pin with ‘Made in Amethi’ tag.

'Rahul Baba talks about ‘Made in Madhya Pradesh’, ‘Made in Chitrakoot’, ‘Made in BHEL’mobiles. Where else Rahul Baba is planning to set up a mobile factory in coming days. The truth is in last 70 years, he (and Congress) has not been able to make a charge pin with ‘Made in Amethi’, mocked Chouhan addressing a public rally in Bareily town of Raisen district.
Chouhan took to Twitter to attack Congress president over his statement that he wanted to start manufacturing of goods at local
level against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘Make in India’ initiative which seems to be a farce in view of the construction of
Sardar Patel statue in Gujarat where maximum material was imported from China.
Rahul had stated he wanted Chinese youth to use phones with ‘Made in Chitrakoot’ tag and wants them to ask about Chitrakoot. “Within five years, people would see phones ‘Made in Chitrakoot’and Madhya Pradesh if Congress is voted to power,” Rahul had said on Thursday.
In his Bhopal public rally on September 19, Rahul had dubbed chief minister Chouhan as ‘ghoshna (announcement) machine' who made promises to people, but hardly ever fulfilled them. Six days later at Karyakarta Mahakumbh in state capital, Chouhan mocked Rahul, calling him a 'fun machine', who the CM said, thinks politics is for entertainment and never takes it seriously.

Taking a dig at Congress chief, Chouhan said, “I must thank Rahul Baba for calling me yojana (scheme) machine. I prepare schemes which help development of the state. Farmers are happy, poor are well-fed, their homes are lit up with subsidised power, children are going to schools and labourers are not helpless,” stated Chouhan in a series of tweets.
And to buttress his point, he recalled schemes for girls under Ladli Laxmi, daughter’s marriage, chappals forest labourers, fixed power tariff at Rs 200 per month to poor are some of the schemes in a long list of development creating a deep impact on the society.
“We plan schemes for every person in society with good intention, good thought and proper implementation to induce positive changes in the life of common people. We do not talk about Made in' tags”, tweeted Chouhan.
