Prime witness in Bhojpur BJP neta murder case shot

ARA: Unidentified miscreants killed one Kamal Kishore Mishra, the prime eyewitness of the murder of former state BJP vice-president Visheshwar Ojha at Sonbarsha village under Karnamepur outpost of Shahpur block in Bhojpur district, on Friday.
Another co-villager Amar Nath Mishra also received gunshot injuries during the firing by the miscreants. Police sources said the incident happened in the morning when Mishra was returning home carrying fodder for his cattle.
The assailants fired at him near ‘Brahmasthan’ in Sonbarsha village. He died on way to Ara sadar hospital, while Amar Nath was being treated at the same hospital.
Jagdishpur SDPO Manjit Kumar told this newspaper that police are conducting raids to nab the culprits, though the family members of the deceased and the injured are yet to lodge a formal complaint in this regard.
Ojha was murdered on February 12, 2016 at Sonbarsha Bazaar, when he was returning after attending a marriage ceremony. The main accused of the murder case, Brajesh Mishra, who is carrying a reward of Rs 50, 000 on his head, is yet to be arrested, though other accused have been arrested by the police.
Ojha was an influential leader of the BJP in the state as well as in Bhojpur district, whose murder had created a political storm in the state.
