Team India celebrated Rishabh Pant's 21st birthday after Prithvi Shaw & Co. dominated the West Indian bowlers to finish Day 1 on 364/4.
Rishabh Pant celebrated his 21st birthday with Team India, which involved the mandatory 'cake smash', after the end of play on day 1 of the first Test in Rajkot.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a few candid shots from the celebrations, which shows Pant cutting his birthday cake before being stuffed with that very same cake.
Pant also posted a video of the incident, saying that he will get revenge on his team mates.
"This is how you cut your cake with your teammates. Don't worry guys who ever is next will get the better treatment then this but thanks a lot guys for making it special and thank you everyone for wishing," he posted.
Pant will be walking out to bat on Day 2, with his captain to resume India's first innings on 364/4. He will resume on 17, while Kohli will aim to reach his 24th hundred in Test cricket when he walks out to bat on 72.

On Thursday, as the day drew to a close, Pant hit the first six of the game in the last over of the day, bringing back memories of the knock he played in the last Test in England.

He's the fourth Indian to reach to his maiden hundred with a six after Kapil Dev, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh.
Pant will be hoping for a repeat of that against a far inferior West Indies bowling side.
Even though Pant is celebrating his 21st birthday, the first day of the Test undoubtedly belonged to debutant Prithvi Shaw.

The 18-year-old scored 134 off 154 balls, hitting 19 boundaries, to became the fourth youngest debutant to score a Test cricket century.
He became the second youngest Indian to score a maiden hundred after Sachin Tendulkar (17 years, 112 days) in 1990 against England. Overall, he's the seventh youngest batsman in Test cricket to achieve this feat.

He was out trying to drive leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo but only chipping straight back to the bowler.

Chesteshwar Pujara added 86 but poked at a wide ball to give fast bowler Sherman Lewis his first Test wicket.
In the final session, Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane added 105 runs for the fourth wicket.

Kohli reached his 20th Test half-century off 100 balls. Overall, he faced 137 balls and hit only four boundaries, not the most fluent knock by the world's No. 1-ranked Test batsman.
Rahane, too, lacked the ease with which Shaw batted earlier in the day, and fell on 41 to Roston Chase in the last hour.
