The Coral Springs Basketball Club season is in full swing with teams jockeying for position in the division standings.

The teams play a 10-game regular season from September through November. There are 50 teams in the fall season, featuring girls and boys age 6 and older through high school, along with men 18 and older. The league, which consists of seven divisions and totals 400 players, has been around since the late 1970s. It will have tentatively scheduled the championship games for all divisions on Nov. 7.

Following the championship games, one player from each division will also be given a sportsmanship award.

“We have four seasons for all ages and then one more for high school players and the men’s divisions,” said league president Richie Fraiman. “In addition to the recreational basketball leagues, we have also been running tournaments for the YBOA (Youth Basketball of America) tournaments for more than 10 years for travel teams.”
