The Coral Springs Museum of Art will have its annual Masterpiece fundraising event, Moondance, from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 to benefit art and educational programs.

“The programs that will benefit from this fundraising effort include Healing with Art and Art for Educators, both designed for those affected by the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” said Julia Andrews, the museum’s executive director. “Art classes for adults, children and seniors delivered by professional artists; Art for Warriors, designed for veterans suffering from PTSD; Kaleidoscope, serving children on the autism spectrum; and overall general operating support.”

Business-owner and Vietnamese artist Daniel Winn will be featured during the event. There will be live entertainment, food, drinks, and, of course, art. More specifically, Winn’s exhibit “Metamorphosis – The Beginning” will be in the main gallery.

When asked why people should attend, Andrews said “to support the important work the museum is doing for the South Florida community and to enjoy the wonderful flavors, sounds and sights.”

She also said, “The community has been impacted in a way no one could imagine. Coming together is vital to the healing process.”

Moondance costs $50 per person in advance and $60 per person at the door. To buy tickets, visit bit.ly/CSMOAMasterTix18.
