Aditya dares Akhilesh Yadav to contest from Kannauj

KANPUR: Throughout his father Shivpal Yadav's tussle with his nephew Akhilesh Yadav, the former's son Aditya Yadav had remained quiet. It was said that despite Shivpal-Akhilesh discord, Aditya remained close to Akhilesh and Dimple.
However, now the convener of Samajwadi Secular Morcha (SSM) that has been formed by his father, Aditya has openly challenged Akhilesh.
"My Morcha will defeat Akhilesh in Kannauj if he contests from here," Aditya told reporters at a guest house in Thatia area of Kannauj on Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Thursday.
"Except the constituency of SP patriarch (Mulayam Singh Yadav), SSM will field its candidate on each and every Lok Sabha seat across the state in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections," he added.
"Also, SSM is keen to contest Kannauj Lok Sabha seat and defeat SP candidate from here," he said and added that the name of SSM candidate from Kannauj seat will be announced before Diwali. Kannauj is the constituency of SP president Akhilesh's spouse Dimple Yadav. Akhilesh had in January reportedly said that he would like to contest 2019 general elections from Kannauj.
