Speaker Dzhumabekov holds meeting of Council for Business and Entrepreneurship Development

Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2018. /Kabar/. Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov chaired a meeting of the Council for Business and Entrepreneurship Development.

The meeting was attended by representatives of factions and relevant Committees of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament), heads of relevant ministries and departments, as well as representatives of business associations, international organizations, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

The following items were on the agenda: the results of the implementation of the Minutes of the Council’s meeting of June 25 of this year, the report of representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic on the implementation of Council decisions on regulatory reform, problems of the subjects of free economic zones (FEZ).

Another item on the agenda was to consider the possibility of implementing the mechanism of investment citizenship in the Kyrgyz Republic. Here, recommendations on studying the feasibility of introducing a system of attracting investment in exchange for a residence permit or investment citizenship in the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed.

Following the meeting, Dzhumabekov suggested that those present accept a number of recommendations regarding the issues outlined in the agenda. In particular, it was recommended to the government to amend the legislation concerning the activity of the FEZ within a month and create working groups in which the members of the Jogorku Kenesh will also take part.
