HYDERABAD: Two more persons succumbed to their injuries sustained when the car they were travelling crashed into a tractor on Srisailam Highway at Kandukur on Sunday.
Kandukur police said Shiva Kumar (28), a constable at Narayanguda station, and Ishwar (28), died on Monday taking the toll to four. On Sunday, two other car passengers, Vinod Kumar and Yadaiah, had died in the accident.
The police said the tractor driver and 30 of his village friends had visited the local temple to celebrate the buying of a new tractor and got drunk while returning.

Sivakumar who joined the police recently had visited the temple along with his three friends, including Vinod. The police said they could not tell if the constables were drunk when the accident occurred.
Lack of road dividers, poor lighting were the main causes for this mishap.
Despite being a national highway, Srisailam highway does not have road dividers. The Ertiga vehicle driven by Vinod attempted to overtake the tractor which had no radius stickers. As the tractor was not visible since there was no lighting, the car coming from behind failed to notice the tractor travelling in the front and ended up hitting.
In the Ertiga, there were six persons of which three died. Luckily, the tractor didn't overturn. As a result, women and children seated in the tractor escaped. A case was registered against tractor driver.
