Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $2.86 Tuesday morning, compared to $1.95 in the previous year. Analysts expected EPS of $2.85. The company expects to report full year EPS of $11 to $12. Street expectations are for EPS of $11.66.
Caterpillar gapped open sharply lower this morning and is now down 10.42 at $118.29 on above average volume. The stock has tumbled to a new low for the year.
