The candidate should also have media experience and should have fluency in speaking English, expertise in social media and facility with digital devices. If they understand multiple languages, it will be an added advantage.

Moreover, he/ she should have documented travel in writing, social media or elsewhere. They should be active on social media via writing, photos and video. Having worked at a media organisation is necessary qualification and they should be comfortable on camera.

NYT will prefer if the candidate has travelled to several destinations, especially in the last six months. They should have an experience of shooting and producing videos as well. The application form is available on the NYT official website.
