Andhra to set up Tanguturi Prakasham Panthulu University in Ongole

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh state government on Thursday issued GO No 32 establishing Tanguturi Prakasham Panthulu University in Ongole. Human Resources Development Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao in a press release said that Ongole is the only district without a University and we have promised them to upgrade the Acharya Nagarjuna University P.G Center there into a new university.
University will be established in 114 Acer PG center on a temporary basis and state government will pass a bill in coming assembly sessions as per the Andhra Pradesh Universities Act- 1991, he said.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the university in coming Gnana Bheri program. Altogether 138 private un-aided colleges working under PG center will come under this university, Ganta Srinivas said.
