Red Carnation Hotels in London, Guernsey, Dorset and Geneva are offering their guests a wide range of holiday themed afternoon teas, cocktails and more. 

Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea at The Chesterfield Mayfair, London: A Christmas themed afternoon tea is a good way to warm up and relax after a busy day of shopping and festive strolls in the capital. This afternoon tradition starts with a shot of mulled wine, and features a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats including their Chocolate yule log, cranberry and coconut Christmas balls, and gingerbread man cupcakes. All served with customers choice of loose teas, flowering teas, coffee, and a special Chesterfield Christmas blend tea. $59 per person.

The Ski Lodge at The Montague on the Gardens, London: The Ski Lodge at The Montague on the Gardens in Bloomsbury is back for another season. The Wood Deck has been transformed into a festive alpine-themed pop-up bar complete with all the trappings of winter, minus the cold: pine trees, snow men, ski racks, and strings of fairy lights. Homemade flavored schnapps and vodkas, including candy cane, butterscotch and toffee, are served alongside classic winter tipples like mulled wine, spiced cider, and decadent “hot choctails.” A selection of tasty seasonally inspired foods like turkey schnitzel, bratwurst and deep-fried Camembert are also available. Noon – 9:00 p.m., through January 13, 2019; $50 per person for a 1.5-hour pass.

‘Dreaming of a Harrod’s Christmas’ offer at The Egerton House Hotel, London: Harrod’s is transformed into a festive wonderland at Christmas, overflowing with gifts, glittering decorations and the sweetest of holiday treats. With the exclusive Dreaming of a Harrod’s Christmas package guests receive a complimentary $66 voucher to spend at the store, which is just a five-minute walk from the hotel. This two-night offer also includes afternoon tea for two, a glass of bubbly for each person, and a full English breakfast on both days. Prices start from $954 for two nights based on two adults sharing.

Indian-inspired mince pie at The Rubens at the Palace, London: Inspired by spices and flavors from the hotel’s very own Curry Room restaurant, the talented pastry team at The Rubens at the Palace have created a mince pie with an Indian twist this Christmas. The Gajar Ka Halwa Mince Pie combines a popular Indian carrot-based sweet dessert with traditional Christmas spices and melt-in-the-mouth pastry. These special mince pies are the perfect accompaniment to the mouth-watering dishes available at The Rubens’ Curry Room throughout December. Walk-in guests who order a festive eggnog cocktail at the New York Bar will also enjoy a Gajar Ka Halwa Mince Pie with their drink.

Christmas Wreath Making Class at Summer Lodge, Dorset: Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, Spa and Restaurant, located in the charming village of Evershot in Dorset, is hosting Christmas wreath-making workshops throughout December, allowing both residents and visitors to create a festive adornment for their home. Attendees will enjoy tasty refreshments like mulled wine and mince pie while they design and create their wreath, and they even get a take-home kit, so they can practice at home.

The Alpine Lodge at The Old Government House, Guernsey: This historic Channel Islands hotel has transformed its rooftop terrace into The Alpine Lodge- a cozy haven complete with snowy scenery, a flickering fire, comfy sofas and blankets to snuggle up in. The bar is fully stocked with holiday-themed drinks, including mulled wine, spiced cider, flavored schnapps and beer served in steins. The menu includes Alpine-inspired comfort food like Swiss Gruyère and onion soup, chicken and chestnut mushroom cheese wheel spätzle, and Black Forest gâteau slice. $51 per person for a 3-hour pass; open through January 2, 2019.

Traditional Advent Afternoon Tea at Hotel d’Angleterre, Geneva: Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Geneva and distant snow-capped Mont Blanc, Geneva’s only five-star boutique hotel is a great place to enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea with a festive twist. The pastry chef prepares Christmas-themed treats including a classic yule log, meringue snowmen, gingerbread, panna cotta, macarons, cheesecake and praline puffs, which are served alongside your choice of Betjeman & Barton teas from around the world. Afterwards guests can meander through the city’s cobblestone streets under twinkling Christmas lights, and explore nearby Bastions Park, which is transformed into a Christmas Village with a fondue chalet, ice-skating rink and local artisan stalls. $49 per person or $83 for two.
